That’s what inspired the Build Your Own Steppladder. Because not every hunt can be handled with a one size fits all solution.
- Here’s how it goes… Choose your optimal number of steps.
- Decide how many of those steps should be spliced with 6ft ropes and how many should come with 8ft ropes.
- Pause and make sure that number adds up to the total (use a calculator if you need it, we don’t judge here).
- Then let us know what size bag you want.

Duck Tactical
Duck Tactical, the innovative emergency rope clamp by Kong. This mechanical ascender can provide you with incredible ease of operation when adjusting your lineman’s line or tether. This is a device that attaches to a climbing rope and slides smoothly in one direction but grips the rope tightly in the other direction. Think 21st-century prussic knot without all the hassle.
Wondering what to pair with your bad-to-the-bone 8 mm Sterling Oplux rope? The Kong Duck is the only mechanical ascender rated for use on 8 mm rope.
Conceived for single ropes with a diameter between 8 and 13 mm, Duck is also the first and only clamp that also works on flat and tubular slings from 10 to 15 mm width.
The Duck only weighs 2.5 ounces. The big hole allows locking connectors to rotate 360 degrees and pairs perfectly with the Kong Oval Twist Lock from Wild Edge. Due to its small dimensions, it can be easily attached with one hand.
Duck was born as an emergency rope clamp for retrieval, progression maneuvers and for the regulation of daisy chains. The Duck is not certified as a fall-restraint device, so never allow slack in your rope while using it.
Argon S
Argon is a carabiner dedicated to people who seek extreme lightness and the slightest dimensions. Designed for better rope glide, to ensure good positioning of belay devices and shape adapted for easy tying and untying of a clove hitch. Wider rope contact surfaces for reduced wear on the carabiner. The D shape transfers the majority of the load onto the spine, the carabiner strongest axis. The asymmetric shape, furthermore, is ideal for connecting belay or rappel devices or for use at the end of a lanyard. The screw sleeve is recommended for dirty environments, where other spring-loaded sleeve may jam due to dirt.

Oval aluminum carabiner with large opening. The wide symmetrical shape, greater than that of a classic oval, still allows a better positioning on mobile devices and their correct operation even if not perfectly aligned with the connector.
